Isle of Wight businesses are finalists in Tourism South East's Beautiful South Awards.

They are named among more than 60 accommodation providers, restaurants and attractions, ahead of an award ceremony in December.

In each category, finalists are handed a gold, silver or bronze award.

Meanwhile, an Island business is one of seven certificate winners also unveiled.

Which Isle of Wight businesses are Beautiful South Awards finalists?

Haviland Cottage, a luxury holiday home in Bonchurch, is among three finalists in the Dog Friendly Business of the year category.

It faces competition from Sussex's Weald and Downland Museum and the Richmond Hill Hotel, in Surrey.

The Island guesthouse is also a finalist for Self Catering Accommodation of the Year.

Bembridge's Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park is up for the Holiday Park of the Year award but must stave off competition from resorts in Hayling Island, Fording Bridge and Lymington, if it is to lift the prize.

Among the Restaurant of the Year finalists is The Royal Hotel in Ventnor.

Three other mainland eateries are also in the running.

A ceremony at the Grand Brighton hotel on December 13 will see prizes awarded.

Meanwhile Shanklin guesthouse, The Clifton, has been commended by judges and will receive a certificate.

Fran Downton, Chief Executive of Tourism South East, said: “Congratulations to all our finalists.

"The Beautiful South Awards is a fantastic opportunity, showcasing the very best that the region has to offer. I wish them all the very best of luck and look forward to celebrating with them all."
