AN ISLE of Wight ferry company has launched a new travel sponsorship programme for 2023, supporting the talent of Islanders.
Red Funnel is looking for Island residents who are currently performing at the top of their game locally, with the drive to take their vocation to the next level off-Island as a Red Funnel Island Ambassador.
Applications are open to all ages and groups of up to six, from any field or talent – from sporting and competition to the arts, performance and more.
Red Funnel is looking to celebrate and enhance the achievements of the Island community, aiding the transition from local to national competition and status through travel sponsorship.
A total of 12 Island Ambassadors will be selected for travel sponsorship over a year, aiding training, competition, performances and events off-Island.
Island groups and clubs made up of more than six people can apply to become a Red Funnel Sponsored Team, with applications due to open soon.
Fran Collins, Red Funnel CEO, said: “We’re dedicated to supporting the Isle of Wight community, recognising great talent demonstrated by Island residents across a wide range of sectors.
“Whether you’re a musician, gymnast, photographer, performer, dancer, surfer, biker, show jumper, comedian or other, we want to know about your passion and encourage you to apply to become a Red Funnel Island Ambassador.”
Applications close on Friday, November 11, at midnight.
To apply, visit Proud to Support on the Red Funnel website.
