A MAIN Newport road will be closed tonight (Wednesday, October 12) while Island Roads carries out roadworks.
Forest Road, on the outskirts of Newport, will be closed from 10pm for three hours for its entire length.
The closure is required for safety during road stud works, says Island Roads.
During this closure, Southern Vectis' number seven route will not be able to serve Gunville, Forest Road or Shalfleet.
The nearest stops will be Carisbrooke High Street and Horse and Groom.
