ARE you a keen knitter, a dab hand with a ball of wool and a pair of needles?

Then you could join an army of knitters, dedicated to producing 10,000 poppies in time for a Remembrance Day display in Ryde.

Volunteers knitted in St Thomas’s Square in Newport on Saturday morning and attached their poppies to a screen.

By the end of the session, there were more than 60 completed poppies.

If you would like to assist, please deliver your finished poppies to AspireRyde on Dover Street, Ryde, by the end of October.
