A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital for treatment following a crash in Chale this afternoon (Thursday).
At approximately 4.10pm, police were called to the scene on Newman Lane, at its junction with Chale Street.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was also spotted in the area.
The crash involved both a motorbike and a car.
The motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after sustaining a leg injury, Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed.
A section of Chale Street is understood to have been closed in both directions.
Motorists should avoid the area if possible.
