TWO casualties were airlifted to hospital in the wake of a serious incident in Totland last night (Saturday).
At approximately 9.15pm, police were advised of an incident involving a vessel which had ran aground with passengers onboard.
Multiple coastguard teams, as well as the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service, were called to the scene at Totland Bay.
Police say enquires are ongoing to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.

The stricken vessel remains on the shore this morning (Sunday), and looks to have ploughed into rocks near Headon Warren viewpoint.
A spokesperson from HM Coastguard said: "HM Coastguard sent rescue teams from Ventnor and Needles, along with the Coastguard helicopter based at Lee-on-Solent and a lifeboat from Yarmouth.
"Yarmouth Lifeboat transferred four injured people into the care of rescue teams and paramedics, while the Coastguard helicopter took two casualties to the mainland for further care in hospital."
