THE driver of a vehicle has been treated by paramedics at the roadside following a single vehicle accident on the Isle of Wight.
Isle of Wight police, ambulance and fire crews fom Newport attended the incident on Calbourne Road, near The Blacksmiths Arms pub-restaurant in Carisbrooke, just after 3.30pm today (Monday).
A car left the road and crashed into a field, a Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire Service spokeswoman confirmed.
Fire crews and a fire service officer were called to the accident at 3.58pm.
Paramedics were already at the scene treating a male driver.
The accident caused minor traffic problems.

UPDATED 5.13PM: An ambulance, followed by a police car and paramedic vehicle travelling from Calbourne Road is now heading towards St Mary's Hospital, Newport.
