THERE'S another chance to see the restored BN-2 Islander G-AVCN airplane.

The Britten-Norman Aircraft Preservation Society is holding an autumn viewing day today (Saturday, September 24).

The plane, number three built and the oldest of the type in existence, will be on show at the Wight Military and Heritage Museum’s open day from 10am until 3pm.

Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.

Check in at the museum reception and follow direction signs to the Islander.

As well as getting a close up look at Islander G-AVCN there will be information about the history of the aircraft, a video show of the restoration project and an Islander flight simulator.

BNAPS Merchandise will be on sale, helping the society.

The museum is at Northwood, off the main Newport Road.
