Today is the Isle of Wight Chamber Business Expo day and the movers and shakers of the Island business community will all be heading to Lakeside Hotel at Wootton.

Come and meet the Isle of Wight County Press team and say hello!

Today's is one of the big business days of the year and the County Press is a media partner of the event, whose main sponsor is WightFibre.

Chamber chief executive Steven Holbrook spoke to us before the event and talked about what businesses, customers and those looking for work could get out of the great networking day....

Here's what Isle of Wight Chamber's Steven Holbrook told us about the Business Expo...

"Make sure you don’t miss out on a great business opportunity. Expo is completely unique for the Island.

"It's an important date in the diary and it provides a real opportunity to maximise having such a wide, diverse set of other businesses in the room, as well as connect with hundreds of visitors across the day.

"Businesses can network together, communicate and share ideas but also show why they're different and spotlight the products and services that make them distinct.
It's a fabulous opportunity for B2B and B2C interaction, where the Island business community can work together.

"You can see what other businesses do, how they can work together and how they can cross sell. It’s also an opportunity for business customers to walk the stands, see what's available and speak to the leaders and decision makers whilst on their stand.
Expo covers a really wide spread of the Island business community. From solicitors to accountants, marketing and design, pest control and produce, and everything in between.

"Our popular Food and Beverage Marquee returns this year, including the Tomato Stall, the IW Distillery, Wight Crystal and, for the first time, Calbourne Classics.
Also new for 2022 is the Get Set Solent marquee, showcasing the finance opportunities and business support packages available, funded by the Solent LEP and government.
Expo is free to attend. If you’re in business it’s a must, and it’s also a great day for people who are looking to work in businesses.

"You can bring your CV and chat informally to businesses.

"You can also attend as a customer if you’re looking to set up your own business.

"You can meet the people who can support you, from marketing, to finance and much more.

"Thanks as ever to all of our sponsors, including of course our main sponsor WightFibre. The community helps to make Expo happen, with businesses supporting businesses, as well as supporting the chamber to make it happen."
