A DANGEROUS driver already facing a possible jail term for drink driving has also admitted stealing almost £600 worth of goods from a sports shop and being caught with heroin.

Daniel Kilshaw, of Fort Street, Sandown, admitted shoplifting from Sports Direct in Newport and possessing the Class A drug, on June 10, when he appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on Tuesday (6).

Currently in custody at HMP Isle of Wight, Kilshaw stole clothing worth £597.92.

The 41-year-old is to appear before an Isle of Wight Crown Court judge on September 27 after he admitted — at an earlier hearing before magistrates — aggravated vehicle taking, and driving the stolen vehicle to Bettesworth Road, Ryde, where he crashed it into a wall, together with dangerous driving, drink driving, and driving without a licence and insurance.

Kilshaw will remain in custody to be sentence for all matters at the Isle of Wight Crown Court on September 27.
