Fishbourne has recently been named the poshest village on the Isle of Wight.

But what makes it so appealing?

Named for the fish in the surrounding waters, the ferry port village is situated on the north-east coast of the island between Wootton and Ryde.

Known primarily as the gateway to the Isle of Wight, it is the first port of call for many visitors to the island.

The village boasts strong transport links with bus routes to Cowes, Newport and Ryde, as well as easy access to the rest of the UK.

With picturesque sea views and quiet coastal walks, Fishbourne is seen as a coastal retreat and possibly a hidden gem.
