An Isle of Wight based record label is releasing a new cassette tape magazine as an innovative way to discover new music. 

The Next Wave magazine will be showcasing brand new music from emerging artists from the UK and beyond.

The Chalkpit Cassette Club are champions of cassette culture and want a new generation of music lovers to take a retro approach to listening to their favourite songs.

In September 2021 the label were crowned NME’s Rebuild Music winners for their commitment to physical music sales through releasing artists exclusive to cssette tape. 

Volume one of Next Wave will feature a tape with over 40 minutes of free music from 12 talented new artists. 

The magazine is officially launched tomorrow at 6.30pm.
Silas Gregory, founder of Chalkpit Cassette Club, said: “We are thrilled to be able to give new artists the opportunity to have their latest music released physically on cassette tape and as part of our Label community at Chalkpit Cassette Club. 

“We know how important opportunities like these are, especially after two years of covid restrictions on the music industry.
