A MAN has been charged with two offences and will appear at Portsmouth Crown Court following an incident in Ryde on Saturday evening (August 13).
Police were called at 6.16pm to Melville Street after it was reported that a man, with a knife, was shouting in the street.
A Ryde man was arrested on suspicion of affray.
Hampshire Constabulary has since confirmed that Mark Andrew Saurin, 59, of Melville Street, has been changed with aggravated burglary and possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.
He appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates Court this morning (Monday) where he was remanded into custody.
Saurin will appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on Monday, September 26.
