EMERGENCY teams located a child following a missing child report in Ryde on Saturday evening (August 13).

Police arrived at Ryde Beach at 7.50pm after a child, reported to be aged around six or seven, had become separated from her family.

Coastguard teams from Bembridge and Ventnor also rushed to the scene.

A search was underway shortly after 8pm, in the areas around Western Gardens and Ryde Pier.

Her mother was located by police and was spoken to by officers.

HM Coastguard has confirmed to the County Press that the child has been found.

No crimes were identified.
