AN ARSON investigation has been launched following a hedgerow fire at a Ventnor school last night (Thursday, August 12).
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called to the fire on Newport Road at 10.28pm.
Fire crews from Ventnor put out the fire using hose reel jets before telling police they believed the fire had been set deliberately.
No one was injured in the fire.
A police investigation has been launched.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: "Anyone who witnessed anything or has any information is asked to contact us on 101 or report online, quoting reference 44220325755."
