A BUSY and sunny Cowes was treated to a spectacular show on land, at sea and in the air today (Saturday).

Special guest The Princess Royal watched the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations from the WetWheels' charity vessel.

Her Royal Highness carried out a fleet and motor past review, with HMS Severn in attendance.

A committee of sailing organisations, class associations and clubs from across the Solent region organised the event.

It featured a gathering of Dunkirk little ships, historic yachts, sail training ships and more than 400 boats from yacht clubs and organisations in The Solent.
