FIREFIGHTERS attended a caravan site in Adgestone last night (Thursday) — over fears of leaking chemicals.
At 8.15pm, crews from Sandown, Ryde and Newport were called to the scene off Lower Road.
A smell of chlorine in a plant room sparked the callout.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus used specialist equipment and a thermal imaging camera to investigate, and found no sign of leaking chemicals.
The incident was handed over to the site owner before firefighters left the scene at around 9.15pm.
