AN ISLE of Wight garden centre is celebrating after scooping a prestigious award from the Garden Centre Association (GCA).
Busy Bee Garden Centre’s restaurant, The Olive Tree, has been named the joint best garden centre restaurant in the South Thames region.
The awards took place on the evening of Thursday, July 14, at Ruxley Manor Garden Centre in Kent.
GCA inspector, Colin Farquhar, visited 52 garden centres in the region across 12 weeks.
Colin said the garden centres he inspected had the highest standards of customer care he had experienced in a long time.
Busy Bee, on Brading Road in Ryde, won the Award for Catering Excellence - Best Garden Centre Restaurant alongside Millbrook Garden Centre near Tonbridge.
A spokesperson from Busy Bee said: “A huge well done to our fantastic hard-working team in The Olive Tree Restaurant for winning the prestigious Best Garden Centre Restaurant in South Thames Award from the Garden Centre Association!”
