A NEW adventure sports attraction opened on the Isle of Wight earlier this year, offering an exciting day out doing the closest thing to paintballing… but with bows!

Bowhunter Archery Tag, on Buckbury Lane in Newport, is the Island's first archery tag, promising to bring out the competitive side of everyone.
Some of the activities the attraction offers are agility challenges, battlezone archery, target practice challenges, speed runs, missions and team building.
Each bow is made with a protective foam pad which reduces the impact significantly, meaning you can get hit without the paintballing pain.
Bowhunter’s arena is 100ft by 50ft, allowing 20ft of safe area.
Along with straw, you will find inflatable barriers to use as shields from opponents, who will be firing down at you.
Danny Fretwell, owner, said: “Bowhunter Archery Tag is an adrenaline pumping activity, suitable for anyone over the age of 13 looking to make their birthday, event or stag do something to remember.
“From the beginning, you will be immersed into one of the most creative and dynamic games since paintballing.
“You will also get target practice and be guided by a steward throughout the game to ensure safety is always a priority.”
