Are you a dab hand with a paintbrush, do you create magic with charcoal, or are your watercolours much admired?

Entries are now open for Isle of Wight artists to send their works of art for consideration into the Monkton Arts Prize 2022.

Prizes include a first prize of £1,000 cash, second prize of £500 cash and a third prize of £250.

Entries can be in any medium (2D or 3D) with a maximum size of A2 for 2D work or the base of a 3D entry.

There is also a children’s prize, with a £250 cash prize and two other awards for developing and training young artists.

A shortlisting exhibition will take place between August 16 and August 26, with the prizegiving event taking place on Monday, August 22.

The expert judging panel this year are Andrew Hird (2021 winner), Sandy Kendall (resident artist at Monkton Arts), artists Alex Williams and Nick Martin, and art expert Prof Robin McInnes.
