THE feelgood factor of glorious weather plus all the colour and vibrancy of the Isle of Wight Pride parade made for a superb day's entertainment in Ryde.

The procession wound its way from the Queen's Road to the Esplanade, via Lind Sreet and down Union Street — lined by hundreds along the route, cheering on the many groups and organisations that took part in it today (Saturday).

At the Esplanade's Eastern Gardens, there was entertainment from Mike Christie, Isabelle L'Amour, Milly Joliffe. Emellia, DJ Mancave, Wight Hot Pipes, Cherry Liquor and Proud Mary, among others, throughout this afternoon and well into the evening.

Tickets were not required this year, but as a charity, Isle of Wight Pride organisers asked for a small fee to be put in a bucket for entry to various areas of the Ascensos Community Village and entertainment on Eastern Gardens.

Ryde Town Council provided a generous grant and help to enable the event to take place and keep the seafront entertainment ticket free.
