A MAJOR power cut has brought disruption to Arreton this evening (Thursday, July 14).
More than 20 postcodes have been affected by unplanned outage.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Network (SSE) has reported that an engineer is on site, and that it aims to restore power by 9.30pm.
The County Press has been told that The White Lion pub has been closed due to the power cut, and other pubs affected include The Hare and Hounds and The Fighting Cocks.
UPDATE: SSE has reported that it now aims to restore power by tomorrow at 2am.
