THIS year the Isle of Wight International Charity Classic Car Extravaganza is celebrating 21 years of exhibiting thousands of incredible vehicles here on the Island.

To mark the show’s coming of age, the organiser Vic Gallucci has got together with Isle of Wight-based celebrant, Elaine Cesar, who is offering a great competition for one lucky couple to renew their vows at the classic car show on Sunday, September 4.

This is open to exhibitors and to the general public and the vow renewal will take place next to the car of your choice — or it may be your own vehicle, or even on the beach.

Your celebrant, Elaine, will write your personal service for you, and the lucky couple can enjoy a heartfelt celebration of their love and reaffirm the promises and commitment they made to each other on their wedding day.

This is a great opportunity to be surrounded by vintage and classic cars — with a huge atmosphere and a glass of bubbles!

All you have to do to enter the competition is email: elainecesarcelebrant@outlook. com stating how many years you have been married, and the reason for renewing your vows, to celebrate your wedded bliss. To find out more about Elaine, see her website.

The winner will have the opportunity to discuss their bespoke ceremony with Elaine, and the ceremony will be performed at the classic car show.

The date is non-transferable and is valid for Sunday, September 4 only.

The judging panel will consist of Vic Gallucci, show organiser; Sue Hemmings from sponsor Wightlink; Elaine Cesar, celebrant, and one of the show’s original marshals, Den Clare — and together they will choose the lucky winner.

The closing date for entries is Sunday, August 14, and the organisers look forward to hearing your love story!

  • This year’s Isle of Wight International Charity Classic Car Extravaganza will take place on the weekend of September 3 and 4 and will be held at Ryde Esplanade from 11am to 5.30pm both days.

Saturday’s event will be in aid of the Isle of Wight Round Table and Sunday’s show will benefit Mountbatten, the Island’s hospice.
