WACKY, weird and wonderful - Ventnor Fringe is back this month.

The festival gives people the chance to dip in and out of a myriad of shows - from comedy to poetry, music to creative workshops.

The printed programme will be available from Wednesday, from Ventnor Exchange and the shelves of other retail outlets, and details of events can be found at vfringe.co.uk, where tickets can be purchased.

Some sessions have already sold out, such as Tatty Devine's jewellery making workshops, so don't delay!

Here's a look at just some of what will be happening in Ventnor during the annual fringe festival.

Julian Littman and Charlie Dore

Music industry legends Julian Littman (Gerry Rafferty, Dexy's Midnight Runners, Steeleye Span) and songwriter Charlie Dore (Pilot of the Airwaves) are coming back to Ventnor Fringe.

Between them they have a lifetime of achievement in performance on the West End stage, TV, film, radio, recording and touring.

Their show is on Friday, July 22, at St Catherine's Church at 7pm.

Impromptu Shakespeare

Sad that Shakespeare hasn’t written anything new for over 400 years?

Well, hold onto your doublets, ruffs and trunk hose. The Bard is back!

With story and verse improvised in the moment, enjoy a riotous new Shakespeare play every time – performed by Impromptu Shakespeare’s whip smart cast.

Packed with priceless wit, lyrical smarts, romance, and a dash of double-crossing, this leading ensemble do the Bard proud with a brand new hit every time, inspired by audience suggestions.

Performances are the The Magpie tent in Ventnor Park on July 29, 30 and 31.

Rob Auton – The Crowd Show

Famous for his infamous pranks to public figures such as Sepp Blatter, Donald Trump and Theresa May, he’s since been touring his highly praised stand up show around the country.

Catch him in The Magpie on Sunday, July 24, at pm, but book soon as his tickets are flying!
