Two Isle of Wight men are facing drugs charges and were due before a court in Portsmouth this morning (Thursday).
James Brian Rose, 27, of North Road in Shanklin, is charged with concealing criminal property and two counts of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply
Martyn Andrew Shotton, 44, of Sun Hill in Cowes, is charged with concealing criminal property, drug driving, and two counts of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
On Tuesday, June 28, officers from Hampshire Constabulary stopped a vehicle in St George's Road, Portsmouth, at 9.30pm.
According to police, a passenger left the vehicle and ran towards the Millennium Walkway, at Gunwharf Quays.
A rucksack was thrown into the water, which police say contained suspected Class A drugs.
