Rhythmtree celebrates its tenth birthday next week, as it opens on a new site near Cowes and hosts headliners Turin Brakes, The Wailers and The Fatback Band.

The eclectic event, at Sticelett Farm, Thorness Bay, runs from July 8 until July 10.

Expect a host of local bands and some big names, over multiple stages and loads of family friendly attractions.

As this festival makes a welcome return, here's what's on...

Who is playing Rhythmtree on Friday, July 8?

Turin Brakes will entertain on Friday, July 8.

The band, best known for their song Painkiller, have a new album out in September and are planning a tour from August, including a date in Portsmouth.

Also taking to the stage are Transglobal Underground, promising a blend of reggae, bhangra, electronics, dubtronica, soul and rap.

Swedish sisters Baskery, who have previously supported Robbie Williams on a European tour, will also play Friday night, along with the Isle of Wight's own Bobby I Can Fly, featuring Paul Armfield, Mark Wozencroft, Dave Baker, Carl Grant, Dave Pontin and the vocals of Duncan Jones.

Who is playing Rhythmtree on Saturday, July 9?

On Saturday, the Isle of Wight hosts legendary band The Wailers

They mix Bob Marley’s back catalogue with their own greatest hits.

1973 reggae fusion band Third World (Now That We Found Love) also take to the stage on Saturday.

With a host of live and studio albums and 9 Grammy nominations under their belt, they are one of the longest running bands in the industry.

10-piece collective TC & The Groove Family and Grupo Lokito also join the line up.

The latter said on Facebook: "We’re thrilled to be playing Rhythmtree Festival this year!!! Catch us on the main stage at 5pm."

Portland, America based The Delines will serve up some country soul, earlier in the day, while singer songwriter Demi Marriner will also appear.

On the Didge Cafe stage, expect acclaimed acoustic guitarist Martin Simpson.  

Also appearing in the Didge Cafe is Something to Talk About singer Badly Drawn Boy.

Who is playing Rhythmtree on Sunday, July 10?

Sunday night is party night, when American funk and disco group The Fatback Band take to the stage.

The I Found Lovin' singers will close the main stage.

Earlier on Sunday, Ibibio Sound Machine will appear.

Also on the line-up are Average White Band star Hamish Stuart, multi-instrumentalist N'famady Kouyaté, and Cardiff-based reggae/ska/soul band Captain Accident.

Brass band with a difference Tuba Libres and the Isle of Wight's own Doug Aldred & The Silver Lining and The Rug Band's ukulele, bass, fiddle, banjolele, flute, melodica and percussion line-up will also entertain.

On the Didge Cafe stage, festival veteran Beans on Toast will deliver his mix of music, politics and humour.

Tankus The Henge will also be in the Didge Cafe.

A host of local bands will also be at Rhythmtree, including Weatherkings, Angelina, The Dance Preachers and The Ohmz.
