An investigation has been launched into a car fire in Newport.

Hampshire Constabulary says it is treating the blaze, in Ash Road, as suspicious.

Firefighters and police officers were called to the scene at around 2am this morning (Thursday).

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service's crew from Newport spent around an hour there.
