A crash in Freshwater means traffic is diverting this morning (Monday).
It has happened on School Green Road, which is closed.
The County Press has been told cables were left hanging down after a collision with a pole, making the route impassable.
An ambulance crew and police are among those on the scene in the West Wight town.
Southern Vectis says its routes 7 and 12 cannot stop in centre.
The nearest stop is on Heathfield Road, says the operator.
There are also diversions in place due to temporary traffic lights on School Green Road.
