Mud rescue for emergency teams called to rib on River Medina
A mud rescue was carried out this morning (Monday), by Isle of Wight emergency crews.
Both the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service attended an incident near Newport Rowing Club, on the River Medina.
The NHS also alerted the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service, which sent its team from Newport, at around 10am.
A person was treated at the scene before being transferred to St Mary’s Hospital.
