ALL live music at the main stage of the Isle of Wight Festival has been suspended until further notice after high winds threatened part of the stage set up, during a performance this evening (Saturday).

Blossoms were performing a song when they were suddenly called off, to the bewilderment of the large crowd.

Some of the set had to be dismantled to prevent problems - leaving the sky visible through the back of Main Stage.

Then festival organiser John Giddings walked on stage to announce music was suspended on safety grounds, due to high winds at Newport's Seaclose Park.
