Everyone is welcome to join a service to be held in Newport's St Thomas's Square today to mark 40 years since the end of the Falklands War.
The commemoration ceremony takes place at 10.45am with a silence at 11am.
Anyone who wishes to pay their respects can go along and take part.
There will be a wreath laying and the event will be attended by Cllr Lora Peacey-Wilcox, leader of the Isle of Wight Council.

A special 40th anniversary event is also being held in Portsmouth on Sunday, June 19 and will involve the unveiling of a new memorial plaque and a remembrance service.
