TWO Isle of Wight corgis are well on their way to showbiz careers after appearing on ITV, GB News, Washington Post and Australia's 7NEWS.

Two and a half-year-old Ken Brush and Sue Barker are twin Pembroke Welsh corgis from St Helens, owned by Fiona Middleton and her family since January 2020.

Ken is a classic short-haired Pembroke with a long tail, while Sue inherited the fluffy gene and has a naturally tiny tail.

On Sunday, May 29, the duo travelled to London, first for a picnic in St James Park and to have a sniff around Buckingham Palace, then to the 'Corgi Cafe', a corgi-only meet up hosted by Pop and Bark.

The organisers, James and Anushka, contacted Fiona later that week saying that corgis were needed for an appearance on TV ahead of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, and asked if Ken and Sue would be interested.

On Wednesday, June 1, Fiona's parents took them to the ITV studios to appear on This Morning.

Fiona said: "They were a bit freaked out by the cameras and equipment, but as soon as the show went on air they behaved perfectly, especially when up on the sofa with Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary... except for Ken trying to hide under Alison's skirt!"

The corgis got a lot of attention on the show and especially enjoyed meeting Julian Clary.

On Friday, June 3, they want back to London to appear on GB News Live, this time with Fiona's dad, Ian, in the interview seat, mistakenly labelled as a 'corgi trainer' - Fiona said: "If only that were true!"

He spoke with Pop and Bark organiser James, explaining why corgis are so beloved by the Queen.

Ken and Sue were also interviewed by The Morning Show on 7NEWS from Australia and featured in the Washington Post in America.

Fiona told the County Press that the duo are happy to be back to their usual routine, sleeping and roaming around the Duver, but excited to see what comes next in their showbiz careers!

She said: "We have an Island corgi Whatsapp group and meet up every so often for a walk, so any other corgis out there should get in touch."
