Staff sickness means no Floating Bridge this afternoon
The Cowes to East Cowes Floating Bridge will be off this afternoon (Monday).
The Isle of Wight Council says unexpected staff sickness means the chain ferry won't run between 2pm and 8pm.
The usual launch service will be in place for foot passengers and cyclists.
Motorists will need to drive via Newport until the service returns.
It is with regret the Cowes Floating Bridge will be suspended today (23 May 2022) between 14.00hrs and 20.00hrs due to unexpected staff sickness.
