Nearly 60 children from Nettlestone and Newchurch primary schools joined thousands of others from across the country at Wembley Arena, to take part in a concert.

As part of the Young Voices choir. they performed 32 songs, alongside Hampshire-based country music duo Ward Thomas (who busked in Cowes to raise environmental awareness, in 2021) and English soprano Laura Wright, who recently performed at the Tyson Fury fight.

Music by the Beatles and the Muppets and Mike and the Mechanics was on the programme.

Young Voices, the largest children’s choir in the world, is made up of 95 schools and 4,475 children.

Harriet in Newchurch's year 3 said her favourite track was the Lion King Medley and said she had an 'amazing' time.

In year 3 at Nettlestone, Esme said "I loved performing with the special guests and how all of the children came together to create beautiful singing."

Laura Feist, music lead at Nettlestone primary school said: "This was an amazing opportunity for the children to take part in such a huge concert and will be a memory that will stay with them forever."
