ISLE of Wight College has announced who the new principal will be following the retirement of Debbie Lavin later this year.
After nearly two decades of service to the college, Debbie will step down at the end of the term.
Following a rigorous selection process, the Isle of Wight College governors has announced the appointment of Ros Parker as the next principal, joining at the start of the autumn term 2022.
Ros has a wide experience in the further education sector and is currently principal of Southend Adult Community College, and before that, was principal of Prospects College of Advanced Technology.
Ros said: “I am honoured to be appointed as principal of The Isle of Wight College, and I look forward to getting to know students, parents, staff and our partners across the Island’s community.”
Debbie Lavin said: “I have enjoyed my 18 years at The Isle of Wight College immensely, and I am pleased to be able to handover to someone with excellent experience that will keep the college moving forward in the right direction.
“I wish Ros the very best of luck in her new role.”
