A RYDE man accused of biting a police officer will face a jury trial on the Isle of Wight next year.
On Tuesday, when he appeared at the Isle of Wight Crown Court, Richard Long, of Player Street, denied assaulting an emergency worker, namely a police officer, in the execution of his duty, by beating, on October 2 last year.
The 37-year-old was bailed to reappear for trial at the same venue on week commencing January 9.
The trial is expected to last three days.
