A MAN who failed to identify the rider of a Yamaha motor scooter has been hit in the pocket with court fees.

Andy Smith, of School Street, Ryde, was found guilty in his absence of failing to give information relating to the identification of the rider of a vehicle when required.

The incident relates to November 12, 2021, when the rider was alleged to have been guilty of an offence, in Bexley, London.

The case was heard at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Monday, May 9.

Smith must pay a total of £836, comprising a £660 fine, £66 surcharge and £110 costs.

His licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
