A THEFT case has been discontinued after the defendant died.
Adam Elsayed, of Landguard Manor Road in Shanklin, was due at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court last Thursday (May 5).
However, the court list was updated to say police had withdrawn a warrant following the death of the defendant.
It is unclear when Mr Elsayed died, but he would have been age 41 at the time of his court appearance.
He was charged with theft from a shop, that on March 14 he stole a television worth £209 from Tesco in Ryde.
In November, he was convicted of two counts of theft of a television, at the same court.
