A WOMAN who crashed her Range Rover into a tree while drunk has been banned from driving.

Natalia Deacon, 30, of Woodside Avenue, Alverstone Garden Village, admitted drink driving when she appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on Friday.

She was found to have been driving on Victoria Avenue in Shanklin on April 15, after consuming so much alcohol she had 85 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath, which exceeded the legal limit of 35.

Police officers attended the scene after being called at 11.25pm and found Deacon's white Range Rover crashed into a tree.

She was disqualified from driving for 20 months.

She must pay a £300 fine, court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £34.
