ANYONE who has been impacted by cancer is invited to join a new choir.

Wessex Cancer Trust is launching a new Sing for Life choir on the Island, following similar popular choirs in Totton, Cosham and Salisbury.

The new choir will meet on Mondays between 2.30pm and 4pm at the charity’s cancer Wellbeing Centre at 21 Lugley Street, Newport, from May 16.

Sue Edmonds, Sing for Life’s musical director, said: “The best thing about Sing for Life is that there’s no pressure to perform, or even turn up every week.

"You don’t need to audition, be able to read music or be an experienced singer. Being part of our choirs can really help anyone living with cancer because both music and a sense of belonging are immensely healing.”
