An elderly woman has died after getting into difficulty in the water near Seaview.
AN ELDERLY woman has died after getting into difficulty in the water near Seaview on Monday (April 25).
Police were called shortly after 5pm to Seagrove Bay, between St Helens and Seaview, after a woman had got into difficulties in the water.
The woman, aged in her 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of paramedics.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
Her next of kin has been informed.
