THIS week their album flew to the top of the charts and now Wet Leg have announced they going on tour with a huge star.

The Isle of Wight band will support Harry Styles on tour in 2023, in Australia and New Zealand.

They announced the news last night on their social media, saying "Going on tour with our friend Harry Styles."

It comes in the week that, in Ireland, Wet Leg charted higher than Harry Styles' album.

Wet Leg will be the special guests of the former One Direction singer on his tour.

They will be appearing in Perth on February 20, then Melbourne, the Gold Coast, Sydney, and finishing in Auckland on March 7.

Yesterday, Wet Leg sent a message to the people of the Isle of Wight who had "held their hand" as they hit the big time.

They said: "It’s been such an unexpected journey for us, a bunch of pals from the Isle of Wight, so if we are honest, to have it place as No. 1 in the first week of it being released has left us in total bewilderment.

“Basically a big old bucket of love and gratitude is due to all you lovely people on the Isle that have been holding our hands along the way."

Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers wanted to thank everyone who believed in them.

Their number one album, the eponymous Wet Leg, sold more vinyl copies in week one than any other album released in the past 30 years.

As well as smashing straight in at No.1 on the UK Official Album Chart, it also went straight in at No.1 on the ARIA Australian Album Chart too.
