GOOD news for art and garden-loving Islanders — The Isle of Wight Spring Art and Garden Fair returns this Easter.

Staged at Northwood House in Cowes, it runs from April 15 to 16; Good Friday and Easter Saturday. 

The event will bring together more than 90 different exhibitors, including garden and plant nurseries, as well as 25 of the best Island artists, showcasing their work in the main house. 

Visitors can expect plenty of retail and craft stalls.

There will also be a live painting demonstration, complete with human models. 

Visitors can have a go at sketching and painting with tuition from experienced Island artists.

The event will also feature the popular Northwood House lawn bar, and a tea tent with live music.

There will be free children’s seed planting activities, morris dancing, arts and crafts in the Rotunda, and an Easter egg trail map with some chocolate prizes at the end.
Other features include a display of vintage tractors and cars.

Proceeds from the event will be go to Northwood House Charitable Trust, to help with ongoing restoration of the grade II* listed house.
