THIS spring, you can treat the little ones to an Easter hunt at various locations around the Isle of Wight.

It's that time of the year, and Mottistone Gardens, The Needles Old Battery, Newtown National Nature Reserve and Bembridge Windmill are all brimming with activities.

At Mottistone Gardens, The National Trust's Easter egg trails run from April 11 to 24.

It means you can make your way along a nature trail, take in the season highlights in the garden, and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family.

You can collect your Easter trail from the welcome team, complete with activity sheet and pencil, and head off to start your adventure.

Visitors will find ten activity points within the gardens, and once you find them all, you can ‘hop’ over to the collection area to claim your chocolate egg.

Among the activities available, you can head to the wild area and make stick sculptures, looking out for animal tracks along the way.

Between April 15 and 18, you can also visit the Needles Old Battery for another Easter trail.

Visitors can help ‘decorate the Battery' with spring colours, create a lighthouse bug hotel, and make friends with a beetle of all things.

You can also ‘track the bats’, find trail points, look out for the signs of nature and complete activities.

Have fun with the whole family, make your own nature discoveries, and collect a chocolate egg at the end.

During the same dates, you can also visit Newtown National Nature Reserve for a similar package of nature-inspired activities.

Last, but certainly not least, you can head over to Bembridge Windmill between April 14 and 17 for another batch of activities.

Make your own discoveries, have fun, and collect your chocolate egg at the end.
