The annual Hasselblad Trophy competition was held by the Isle of Wight Photographic Society last month via Zoom and there were some stunning images among the winners

There were 66 images from 33 photographers and the judge was well-known photographer Roy Lambeth, who was impressed by the range and quality of the images.

Douglas Cox of Sandown and District Camera Club won with his picture of two hares (main image above).

His Sunset over The Needles took second place - and this image recently appeared on the front cover of the February/March edition of Isle of Wight Living magazine.

Third was The Subway by Tracey Winnall of Niton and District Camera Club.

The Hasselblad Trophy was presented to Isle of Wight clubs by Ann and Keith Terry in 1981 when it was an inter club competition; but it is now an individual projected image competition open to members of all Island clubs.

Sadly the Hasselblad Trophy is showing signs of wear and tear and the club is hoping to replace it in the near future.
