FIREFIGHTERS using an aerial ladder were called to assist paramedics to help move a patient into a waiting ambulance.
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service was called at 8.51am to assist the Isle of Wight Amblance Service at an address in Victoria Street, Ryde, today (Saturday).
An appliance and an aerial ladder platform were used by fire crews to help extracate a man from a property.
The patient was taken to St Mary's Hospital in Newport.
The fire crews returned to station at 10.14am.
