STUDENTS were met with an udderly unusual sight when they arrived at school this morning — a cow on the sports field.
The visitor had moooved into the field at The Island Free School, much to the delight of the younger children at the neighbouring St Francis Primary Academy.
Had it popped in for breakfast club? Or is there an imminent return of school milk due?
Sadly for the cow, the free school is always over-subscribed so it is not likely to be able to take up residence permanently.
