AS STORM Eunice hits the Isle of Wight, here's the latest travel news for those who have to venture out today.

Red Funnel has suspended ALL their travel services.

UPDATE 3.30pm: Red Funnel's vehicle ferry service has now resumed, but is experiencing significant delays.

Leanna Lakes, operations director at Red Funnel, said: “The safety of our passengers and crew is our number one priority and, due to Storm Eunice, we made the decision this morning to suspend all services.

"As winds are now easing, we are pleased to advise that our vehicle ferry Red Osprey departed from East Cowes for Southampton at 2.05pm and Red Falcon departed Southampton for East Cowes at 2.45pm.

“We will be running to a slightly altered timetable due to the weather and will continue to monitor and evaluate conditions to keep as many services as possible running safely.

"We are notifying all pre-booked passengers with amended departure and arrival times.

“Our Red Jet high speed service remains suspended for the time being.

"As with all high-speed vessels, our Red Jets can be more susceptible to delays caused by poor weather compared with the vehicle ferries, due to their operating limits."

Wightlink is currently still running its Portsmouth to Fishbourne car ferry and the Ryde to Portsmouth FastCat. However, the Yarmouth to Lymington car ferry service is suspended.
