Floating Bridge off on Friday morning
The Cowes to East Cowes Floating Bridge is off this morning (Friday).
UPDATE: The service is now running again.
It has stopped on the Cowes side of the River Medina.
The Jenny Lee is running for pedestrians, including school children heading to Cowes Enterprise College from East Cowes.
Drivers will have to divert via Newport.
The Isle of Wight Council said: "Engineers are attending the Floating Bridge early this morning to inspect hinge pins that have caused operational concerns.
"The inspection is likely to take a couple of hours and we expect service to resume later today.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this inspection has caused."
