A COWES man has been cleared of accusations he committed sexual acts against a girl more than 30 years ago.
Ian Newell, 50, of Arctic Road, denied three counts of indecent assault against a girl aged under 14 years, between July 2, 1988, and July 1, 1990.
A trial was heard at the Isle of Wight Crown Court last week and he was found not guilty by the jury.
